Integrity Check Standards of Practice (SOPs) & Conduct

Standards of Practice

At Integrity Check, we are committed to delivering high-quality consulting, property advisement, and risk assessment services. These services are grounded in transparency, accountability, and professionalism. Our Standards of Practice (SOPs) ensure consistency and reliability, while setting clear expectations for clients, partners, and stakeholders.

1. Property Inspections & Risk Assessments

Scope: Our inspections cover visible, readily accessible components of the property. No invasive or destructive testing is performed unless otherwise specified in writing. The scope includes:

  • Exterior & Interior Assessment: Evaluating the condition of structural elements, roofing, visible plumbing, HVAC systems, and electrical components, provided these areas are accessible.
  • Environmental Factors: Noting any obvious environmental risks, such as water damage, mold, or evidence of pests, if observable during the inspection.
  • Safety: Noting any visible hazards, including safety concerns such as missing railings, exposed wiring, or unstable structures.

Limitations:

  • Inaccessible Areas: Areas such as behind walls, under floors, crawl spaces, or attics that are blocked or inaccessible are excluded unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • Future Performance: Inspections reflect conditions at the time of inspection and do not guarantee future performance of property components or systems.

Methodology:

  • Tools & Technology: Inspections may utilize thermal imaging, moisture meters, or other industry-standard tools to detect issues not visible to the naked eye.
  • Risk Classification: Identified risks are categorized into Low, Medium, or High based on potential severity and urgency for action. Recommendations for repairs or further assessments will be provided.

2. Risk Assessments & Property Advisement

Advisory Role: Integrity Check provides advisory services based on observable conditions, historical weather data, and industry knowledge.

  • Consultation Limitations: Our advisement is based on visible data and does not constitute a warranty, guarantee of structural integrity, or system performance.
  • Third-Party Confirmation: Clients are encouraged to engage third-party professionals (e.g., structural engineers, electricians, plumbers) for additional verification of identified risks or concerns.

Liability Disclaimer:

  • No Guarantees: Integrity Check is not liable for undiscovered defects or future property issues that develop after the inspection. Clients bear the responsibility for maintenance and repairs of their property.

3. Consulting Services

Scope: Integrity Check offers expert consulting in business development, storm restoration, risk management, and pre-insurance evaluations.

  • Advisory Services Only: We offer guidance and strategic advisement; however, we do not directly oversee, manage, or perform physical construction unless explicitly contracted to do so.

Service Limitations:

  • No Physical Construction: Integrity Check is not a contractor or project manager unless otherwise specified. Any advice given is for informational purposes and the final decision rests with the client.

Outcome Disclaimer: Success in business ventures, restoration efforts, or property management is not guaranteed, and results may vary depending on external factors.

4. Reporting and Documentation

Comprehensive Reports: Every inspection or consultation includes a detailed report documenting findings, risks, and actionable recommendations based on observable conditions.\

  • Documenting Risks: All identified risks will be clearly categorized in the report, with recommendations for further action or specialist intervention.
  • Restricted Areas: If certain areas of the property are inaccessible (e.g., locked rooms, obstructed spaces), this will be documented, and no assumptions will be made about the condition of these areas.

Estimate Limitations:

  • Advisory Estimates: Cost estimates provided for repairs or restoration work are advisory and should be confirmed with licensed contractors. Integrity Check is not responsible for the accuracy of third-party quotes or timelines.

5. Client Responsibilities

Third-Party Verification: We strongly advise clients to engage licensed professionals (e.g., electricians, plumbers, structural engineers) to verify findings and provide specialized assessments when required.

  • Additional Testing: Clients may be advised to pursue more invasive testing (e.g., structural evaluations, mold testing) through qualified third-party professionals.

Timely Action:

  • Risk Mitigation: Clients are responsible for addressing risks or defects identified in the report. Delays in taking action may result in worsening conditions, and Integrity Check is not liable for subsequent damage.

6. Liability Limitation

General Disclaimer: Integrity Check provides assessments based on professional standards and visible conditions at the time of inspection.

  • No Responsibility for Future Conditions: We are not liable for changes that occur after the inspection or for hidden defects that were not observable at the time.
  • No Warranties: We do not provide warranties or guarantees related to the condition or future performance of the property or its systems.

Damage Claims:

Limitation of Liability: Integrity Check is not responsible for any damages or losses that result from following or failing to follow recommendations provided in our reports.

7. Pre-Insurance & Storm Damage Consulting

Scope: Our pre-insurance inspections and storm damage consultations are designed to document property conditions, assess damage, and advise on potential claims.

  • Claims Process Guidance: While we provide expert advice on navigating insurance claims, Integrity Check does not guarantee the approval or outcome of any claims.

Weather Data & Historical Analysis:

  • Storm Damage Reports: When applicable, historical weather data may be used to support storm damage claims. These reports, however, are for advisory purposes only, and Integrity Check is not liable for disputes or challenges raised by insurance carriers.

8. Partner Network & Vendor Management

Vetting Process: Integrity Check partners with vetted contractors and vendors. These partnerships are established based on qualifications, reliability, and quality assurance.

  • Partner Accountability: While we recommend contractors, we do not guarantee their workmanship or regulatory compliance unless Integrity Check is contracted to oversee the project.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Responsibility of the Contractor: The hired contractor is fully responsible for ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Integrity Check does not assume liability for a contractor’s failure to adhere to legal or regulatory standards.

9. Client and Partner Trust

Confidentiality:

  • Data Protection: All client information, including reports, assessments, and property data, will be kept confidential. We only share reports with authorized representatives or as instructed by the client.

Partnership Conduct:

  • Upholding Standards: All partners and contractors referred by Integrity Check are expected to uphold the same professional and ethical standards. Any deviation from these standards may result in termination of the partnership.

10. Legal Compliance and Conduct

Legal Disclaimer: Integrity Check does not provide legal services or advice. Any legal interpretation of contracts, property matters, or disputes must be handled by a licensed attorney.

Regulatory Disclaimer:

  • Compliance Advice: While we advise on regulatory standards and provide general guidance, we do not guarantee full legal compliance with specific local, state, or federal laws unless explicitly contracted for that service.

Dispute Resolution:

  • Arbitration Clause: Any disputes arising from our services will first be addressed through arbitration. Integrity Check reserves the right to resolve disputes outside of court when appropriate.

11. Client Consent & Authorization

Written Authorization:

  • Access to Property: All inspections and consultations require written authorization from the property owner or their legal representative. This ensures that we have consent to access the property and conduct our assessments.

Third-Party Access:

  • Confidentiality Waivers: Clients must explicitly authorize Integrity Check to share reports or findings with third parties (e.g., contractors, insurance companies) if required.
